When Love Lee was a little girl I never had enough money to keep up with all the beauty products she wanted and needed. But she never pressured me to, because she would make her own.

Out of all of my kids, she is the only one who would shop with me at the thrift shops. I rarely had money to buy her new clothes, but that didn’t stop her from being one of the most stylish teenagers in Omaha.

I have always been very proud of her resourcefulness. It is the Kikapu way.
